Are you planning a business conference, convention or other similar corporate event? Would you like to add more value?
At your next conference or convention, arrange to have a business portrait photo studio at your venue. Conference-goers could then get a new business headshot while they’re at your event.
This is not to be confused with those photo booths you might see at parties and other social events. A business portrait studio has no silly props, no crazy backgrounds. It’s a no-nonsense, business photo studio with photographer, editor and makeup artist. Conference delegates would get a first-rate, professional business headshot.
The business portraits would be provided free to each participant and the cost would be covered either by your company or a sponsor, depending on the nature of the event.
The added benefit of getting a new business headshot might also increase conference attendance since participants would each be saving a few hundred dollars on the photography.
The photographer can deliver the finished images directly to each person after, or maybe even during, your event. Although it may be more advantageous to you if the photographer sent you the finished images and you delivered the photos. This would give you another touchpoint with conference delegates and provide you or the sponsor with an opportunity to follow up on any business.
If you’re planning to sponsor a business conference or convention, instead of having the standard trade-show booth, why not provide a business headshot photo studio? This would require a lot more floor space but it would attract a lot more people.
A business portrait photography studio can also be incorporated into a company retreat or other get-together where your entire staff or department is in one place at one time.
Earlier this year, an insurance company held its annual company retreat just north of Toronto. Since its entire 135-person staff was going to be there, they realized it was a good opportunity to get new business headshots of everyone. With a portrait studio set up at the hotel and with lots of organization, they got everyone photographed in one long day. The company saved at least 70% compared to having the photography scattered over several weeks.
Everyone knows business portraits are important. A business headshot studio at your next event would be more memorable, more appreciated and more personal. And isn’t that a goal of your event?
